Will Smith's Oscars slap revealed as Ireland's top trending YouTube video

Will Smith's infamous Oscars slap has been revealed as the Ireland's top trending YouTube video of the year.

The clip, shared by The Guardian, which has gathered over 103 million views and 1.5 likes, shows the uncensored version of the moment Smith stormed the stage during the 94th Academy Awards in March and attacked Chris Rock, after the comedian made a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

The Hollywood actor recently said his "deepest hope" is that the viral incident does not have an effect on the team behind his new film Emancipation in the upcoming awards season.

This year's nostalgic Super Bowl halftime show, led by a crew of all-star rappers Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, and 50 Cent, is the second most-watched video of the year.

NWA co-founder Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J Blige and Kendrick Lamar teamed up for the event which also saw a surprise appearance from 50 Cent.

The 56th running of the NFL's showpiece event took place in the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, with home team the Los Angeles Rams taking on the Cincinnati Bengals.

Landing the coveted third position are The Sidemen, a popular British YouTube group consisting of Internet stars KSI, Miniminter, Zerkaa, TBJZL, Behzinga, Vikkstar123, and W2S.

The YouTube creators took on a group of their social media counterparts for a charity football match that raised money for four charities over 90 minutes of football. The match was live-streamed on YouTube and drew an impressive 2.6 million concurrent viewers.

Other moments on the Top 10 Most Watched YouTube videos in Ireland of 2022 list (excluding major label music videos) includes the verdict of the long-running Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial and fans' disappointment by Britain's Princess Anne's behaviour at the Queen's funeral.
