The boutique festival Wild Roots is returning to the shores of Lough Gill in Co Sligo next June with headliners Rudimental, Jenny Greene, Daithí and Mauro Picotto set to take to the stage across the bank holiday weekend.

Also set to entertain music lovers are Irish indie pop outfit HamSandwhicH, veteran Irish folk-rocker Paddy Casey and Limerick city rapper Hazey Haze.

Rising star and multi-instrumentalist Tadhg, Belfast singer Amy Montgomery and gipsy-folksters The Eskies are also on the bill as are Bicourious, Erin & The Lens, Gaolbyrd, Reevah and The Barley Mob.

As darkness descends on the festival, the music will change gears with the likes of 90’s trance legend Mauro Picotto and Daft Punk Tribute confirmed for District 22 - the festival’s post-apocalyptic dance arena.

Speaking at the announcement the Wild Roots co-founder Orla Buckley said: "Preparations are underway to welcome visitors back to Sligo for the second edition of Wild Roots.

"Leave your troubles behind and escape for a weekend to our sprawling festival metropolis heaving with immersive art installations, aerial performances, and theatrical spectacles.

"Sample the local culinary delights, enjoy some music, or simply fritter away the afternoon with a boat tour of the lake. There is something for everyone at Wild Roots and everyone is invited".

Wild Roots is a family-friendly event celebrating performing arts, music and outdoor adventure. Three-day camping tickets to the event begin at €185 with day tickets available from €60.

Wild Roots will take place from 2 - 4 June 2023. For more information visit wildroots.ie
