Relentless: The Connacht Way, 10.15pm, RTÉ One

I have zero interest in rugby, but this looks like it could be a fascinating delve into the sporting life.

Documentary following the fortunes of Connacht Rugby through the eyes of players Bundee Aki, Niall Murray and Tom Farrell, all of whom are at pivotal moments in their careers.

The film reveals the unique perspectives, challenges and motivations of each player, taking a journey with them through the 2021/2022 season.

The semi-final is here and the remaining four couples are hoping their relationship has what it takes to get them a step closer to that winning title.

Tensions rise in the most frustrating challenge yet, as one half of each couple is stranded on an island, while their partners are left behind to guess which items they'd most likely take along with them.

This week’s short film sees a petrol station attendant getting drawn into the harsh world of people trafficking in Ireland when she meets an immigrant car wash attendant.

Starring Danielle Galligan and Sameer Baloch, and directed by Vincent Lambe.

Hector: Balkans go Baltics, 9.30pm, TG4

In this week’s episode Hector Ó hEochagáin visits the Balkan nation and oldest country in Europe, Bulgaria.

He begins his trip in Plovdiv, visiting one of the world's best-preserved ancient Roman theatres.

Hector then reflects on Bulgaria's communist history at Buzludja Monument and explores the natural treasure that is the Seven Rila Lakes.

He finishes his trip of Bulgaria in a gym run by weightlifting champion Zdravko Stoichkov, where he watches athletes train and even tries out the sport for himself.

The return of the magazine show for farmers and rural residents, exploring the ever-changing nature of country life and landscape. Featuring topics including food safety, rural development, planning and environmental issues.

Munya Chawawa: How to Survive a Dictator, 10.00pm, Channel 4

The comedian travels to South Africa to document the life of Zimbabwean dictator Robert Mugabe, who died in 2019, to find out more about one of the world's most notorious tyrants.

Munya wanted to return to his homeland Zimbabwe to make his documentary, but his filming visas were mysteriously cancelled without explanation.

So he travels to South Africa to meet with Mugabe's friends, his family, his victims and his henchmen, in an attempt to make the show in spite of them.

New to Stream

The Horne Section TV Show, All4

The new six-part comedy series is written by and starring Alex Horne (creator of Taskmaster) and his band, The Horne Section.

The Horne Section TV Show piloted last year and has now been picked up for a series by Channel 4 following multiple appearances on Channel 4’s The Last Leg, and Dictionary Corner on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

Away from the screen they host the iTunes chart topping podcast The Horne Section Podcast and three seasons of Alex Horne Presents The Horne Section on BBC Radio 4.

Separately, members of The Horne Section have performed with the likes of Robbie Williams, Madness, Florence and the Machine, Amy Winehouse, George Ezra, Basement Jaxx, Disclosure and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.

Blockbuster, Netflix

Here’s a new 10-part comedy series documenting the lives of the staff at the last remaining Blockbuster store in the United States.

Randall Park (Wandavision) plays Timmy, one of the main leads who is described as a dreamer and a lover of movies.

Melissa Fumero (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) stars as Eliza, a headstrong woman in her 40s and dedicated mother whose marriage to her high school sweetheart is on the rocks.

Other cast members include JB Smoove, from Curb Your Enthusiasm. He plays Percy, the strip mall and store owner. His daughter works at the Blockbuster store.

The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe, 9.00pm, Virgin Media One

The truth comes out when the police come looking for Anne and John in the final episode of this four-part drama based on a bizarre true story.

The case goes to trial where Anne pleads not guilty on the grounds of marital coercion but what will this mean for her fate?

And can their traumatised sons come to find forgiveness for either of their parents?
