Lana Del Rey has revealed that her backpack containing a laptop, three video cameras, and multiple hard drives, was stolen from her car.

Speaking on Instagram the Grammy-nominated artist appealed to fans not to listen to the unfinished songs that have leaked since the robbery. She also shared that a 200-page manuscript for her upcoming book, which was not backed up, has been lost.

She said: "I had to remotely wipe the computer that had my 200-page book for Simon & Schuster, which I didn't have backed up on a cloud.

"And despite that, people are still able this week to remotely access my phone and leak our songs and personal photos."

"Please don't listen to the music if you hear it because it’s not coming out yet," Del Rey added.

"And, in terms of the book, I loved the book that I lost with all of my heart and put a lot of passion into it. And in terms of the camcorders, we shall see what happens with that."

Del Rey is currently working on her ninth studio album and assured fans, that despite the leaks she is "confident in the record".

She said: "I just want to mention that despite all of this happening, I am confident in the record to come—despite so many safety factors on so many different levels.

"I really want to persist and make the best art I can."
