Season 2 of this violent gangland drama opens one year after the death of Sean Wallace and the violent reckonings of season one.

The map and soul of London’s criminal world has been redrawn.

The surviving Wallaces are scattered, the Dumanis broken and estranged, and ex-undercover cop Elliot Carter is now being forced to work for the investors.

To restore order, the investors have aligned behind heroin baron Asif Afridi and together they have installed a new ruling force in London in the form of brutal gang leader - Koba.

His vision for the criminal landscape is a dictatorship, a world in which old school gangster codes don’t exist and in which he holds a complete monopoly over London’s drug trade.

But this monopoly can’t last forever. The gangs are fighting back - who will win the battle for London’s criminal kingdom?

Maeve Binchy - The Magic of the Ordinary, 10.15pm, RTÉ One

To mark the 10th anniversary of the much-loved, best-selling author's death, this documentary revisits Maeve Binchy's work and examines her legacy in journalism and fiction.

With contributions from her husband Gordon Snell, niece Sarah Binchy and best friend Eunice Bailey, as well as John Connolly, Sarah Maria Griffin and Caroline O'Donoghue.

Taskmaster, 9.00pm, Channel 4

Greg Davies sets more tasks to Dara Ó Briain (below), Fern Brady, John Kearns, Munya Chawawa and Sarah Millican, the intrepid players hoping to become the 14th Taskmaster champion.

Dara shows off a fabulous flair for folding, Fern complains about being forced to tidy up and Munya tries to work some DIY magic with a coat hanger.

Plus, Sarah beautifully reveals what kind of foodstuff is like catnip to her. As usual, Alex Horne monitors the participants' progress with due diligence.

Loving, 9.00pm, BBC Four

Director Jeff Nichols' critically acclaimed fact-based drama, starring an Oscar-nominated Ruth Negga, with Joel Edgerton, Will Dalton and Michael Shannon.

In late-1950s Virginia, interracial couple Richard and Mildred Loving are targeted by the authorities and arrested, leading to a momentous legal battle that would end with the Supreme Court's historic 1967 decision.

Unbreakable, 8.00pm, BBC One

Host Rob Beckett (belkow) sends participants Denise Welch, Stephen Bailey, Simon Weston, Charlie Mullins and Shanaze Reade and their partners to the beach for their next challenge to see how well they know each other.

He and experts Anjula Mutanda and Maria McErlane watch on remotely as fascinating insights into their relationships are revealed.

Those finishing at the bottom of the leaderboard risk elimination in the first Breaking Point Challenge of the series.

I Hate You, 10.00pm, Channel 4

This new comedy, starring Tanya Reynolds (below) and Melissa Saint, continues with a double-episode.

First up, Becca's father - who walked out when she was only 10 - dies, leaving her feeling bad after not crying over his loss.

She guilts Charlie into bunking off work with her, but the day soon spirals into chaos as the girls play their extreme dare game - Scary Dare - and Becca chucks Charlie's keys into a parked van.

When Charlie goes to retrieve them, she ends up on an unexpected journey.

Later, at Bradley's party, Becca does another dreadful dare - dropping Charlie's keys into the jacket pocket of a very drunk, monster of a man.

New or Returning Shows

Aldi’s Next Big Thing, 8.00pm, Channel 4

Cameras look on as small-scale British food and drink producers get the rare opportunity to pitch their products to buyers of Britain's fourth biggest supermarket.

Among those involved in the 'dinner time’ category of presentations are two young hopefuls who think insects are the future of food, and an ambitious sauce-maker who creates her product in her small south London flat.

There’s also a pie-maker who's dedicated his life to achieving pie perfection.

Presented by Anita Rani and award-winning grocer Chris Bavin.

Darren and Joe's Free Gaff, 10.05pm, RTÉ2

Darren Conway and Joseph McGucken bring their surreal and experimental comedy style to life in this sketch show featuring some of Ireland's most well-known content creators.

Storyland: Mustard, 9.35pm, RTÉ2

Eilis is addicted to mustard. When she falls madly in love, she's sure her demons are finally banished.

But when the relationship breaks down her shameful addiction to the yellow stuff returns.

This week the Underdogs are coming to the end of their journey and management must make a decision as to who will be playing in the big game.
