Eurovision winners Måneskin have told RTÉ Entertainment that they will play Ireland sooner rather than later.
The Italian quartet have just released their new ballad, The Loneliest, and are "in the mixing" of their eagerly awaited third album - the follow-up to 2021's Teatro d'ira: Vol I.
Lead singer Damiano David said The Loneliest is "opening the path" to what lies ahead for fans on the new album.
Also up the road will be Måneskin's now-overdue live debut in Ireland.
"I'm sorry, not our fault!" laughed bassist Victoria De Angelis. "We're blaming the manager! I'm joking!"
David said the group - completed by guitarist Thomas Raggi and drummer Ethan Torchio - are taking their global fame one gig at a time.
"If you think about the whole thing, you're going to get overwhelmed a hundred percent," he said. "It's a huge amount of things to do... But if you look at one at a time, it's fun."
De Angelis said Irish fans can now look forward to a better act than the one that triumphed at the Eurovision.
"At that point, we were lucky because at that point we had been playing together for seven years," she said of their 2021 win. "Even if that felt like an overnight moment, we already had had a lot of tours in Italy. But, of course, since then we've played so many shows that I can't even count, so that has made us grow even tighter."
As for the upcoming album, each member had their own sound bite description, with De Angelis describing it as "energy", David opting for "360", Torchio choosing "timeless" and Raggi picking "diverse". Among their inspirations while making the album were Arctic Monkeys, Queens of the Stone Age, Radiohead, Dua Lipa, Sam Fender and Paolo Nutini.
"In LA, I had the chance to work with some of the biggest songwriters in the world, and they gave me some very, very good advice on how to write a song properly," teased David. "I think that I'm definitely more skilled now."
Listeners can judge for themselves on The Loneliest - out now on Epic.
