Jessie Buckley's Oscar-tipped film unveils trailer

The first trailer for Women Talking, the acclaimed film that features Irish star Jessie Buckley in an Oscar-tipped role, has been released.

Buckley stars opposite Frances McDormand, Rooney Mara, Claire Foy and Ben Whishaw in the adaptation of the best-selling Miriam Toews novel of the same name.

The new film from director Sarah Polley (Take This Waltz, Away from Her) tells the story of "a group of women in an isolated religious colony as they struggle to reconcile their faith with a series of sexual assaults committed by the colony's men".

Last month, US entertainment trade publication the Hollywood Reporter said that Buckley is one of the "frontrunners" in the Best Supporting Actress category at next year's Academy Awards for her performance in Women Talking.
