Headed by Philip King, Sonny Condell, and Robbie Overson, their new record features guest performances from Crash Ensemble, Conor O’Brien of Villagers, and Gemma Doherty of Saint Sister.
Speaking of the new album’s title track, Sonny says, "I first came across this song on the radio, it was a version by Lucy Simpson and friends.
"According to some brief research the composer was Harkins Freye. It was probably first recorded in the 1920. Time defeats us all in the end, but this song makes that certainty seem somehow up-lifting."

Philip King says, "Songs shift, change shape and come alive in magical ways when shared live. The electricity generated is palpable and energising.
"To head out on the road with these songs this month, bring them to life and share them with audiences around the country is a real delight. Can’t wait."
Scullion play: Oct 8th - Whelan’s, Dublin (Upgraded from Unitarian Church due to demand), Oct 9th - Dolan’s Warehouse, Limerick, Oct 15th - Theatre Royal, Waterford, Oct 20th - The Greyhound, Kilkee, Clare, Oct 22nd - The Inkwell Theatre Tracton, Cork, Oct 29th - Solstice Arts Centre, Meat, Oct 30th - The Courthouse, Down, Nov 18th - Siamsa Tíre, Kerry.
Tell us three things about yourself . . .
I am constantly amazed at the wondrous power of music to heal and to renew. I am enriched each day by living in the West Kerry Gaeltacht under the protective wing of Mount Eagle. Presenting The South Wind Blows on RTÉ Radio1 from home is a privilege and a gift.
