Later - with Jools Holland, 9.40pm, BBC Two

This is a special edition of the long-running show, marking 30 years to the day since the series was first broadcast on 8 October 1992.

Jools welcomes Nigerian global mega-star Burna Boy, who is making his debut on the show with a couple of tracks from his recent sixth album Love Damini, including his summer anthem Last Last.

Returning is Mumford & Sons' front man Marcus Mumford (below), who will be debuting songs from his first solo album Self-Titled.

Jools also chats to Marcus about his first time performing on the show as they delve into the Later archives.

Rounding off the line-up are rapper Loyle Carner, all-female quartet the Big Moon, and three-piece PVA.

Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow, 9.30pm, Virgin Media One

The comedian hosts a supersized reboot of the much-loved darts show Bullseye, which was originally hosted by Jim Bowen during its run from the early 1980s to the mid-1990s.

Four pairs of `Knowers’ and `Throwers’ (ie: quiz heads and dart players) combine to take on the questions and the dart boards, for a chance to win big prizes in the Epic Endgame, including a luxury holiday to Mexico.

Strictly Come Dancing, 6.30pm, BBC One

Celebrities take to the dance floor for week 3 to participate in routines inspired by classic movies.

As ever, they’ll performing to impress judges Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke, as well as UK viewers at home ahead of the second results show on Sunday.

The show opens with a performance by the professional dancers which inspired by Disney movie Encanto.

Isolated and alone, a blizzard traps them inside the lodge as terrifying events summon spectres from Grace's dark past.

Berlin 1945, 10.40pm, BBC Four

War is awful and here’s the evidence. This three-parter is both fascinating and utterly depressing. The devastation seems so pointless.

Life in the German capital in the year the Second World War ended is recalled through the stories of those who experienced it - from ordinary Germans to the Allied forces who entered the city.

In the final episode, following the Red Army conquest of the German capital and the fall of the Third Reich, the British, French and Americans troop wait to enter Berlin.

Meanwhile, members of the Jewish community, among whom there are few survivors, regroup.

The Blind Side, 9.25pm, RTÉ One

Fact-based, crowd-pleasing drama, starring an Oscar-winning Sandra Bullock alongside Quinton Aaron and Tim McGraw.

A middle-class family take in a hulking homeless teenager, who has no education or skills to speak of.

The indomitable wife encourages him to turn his life around, helping him to get the grades he needs for a college scholarship and hone his sporting skills to become an American football player.

Adam & Paul, 11.45pm, RTÉ2

Superb and definitive modern Dublin dramedy, starring Mark O'Halloran, Tom Murphy, Gary Egan and Dylan Grimes.

Two working-class childhood friends living in Dublin have grown up to become heroin addicts.

During the course of a day, they wander the city, hoping to beg, borrow or steal enough cash to feed their habit - but their efforts only lead them into a series of bizarre misadventures.

The 39 Steps, 1.15pm, BBC Two

Alfred Hitchcock's 1935 thriller based on John Buchan's novel, starring Robert Donat, Madeleine Carroll, Lucie Mannheim, Godfrey Tearle and Peggy Ashcroft, is a classic of early 20th Century cinema.

A Canadian in London offers a safe hiding place to a British secret agent investigating a spy ring. However, when she is murdered, he realises he will be the prime suspect and goes on the run with the intention of exposing the real killers.

Followed at 2.40pm by another early Hitchcock cracker, The Lady Vanishes.

Crocodile Dundee, 6.50pm, Channel 4

This comedy adventure, written by and starring Paul Hogan, with Linda Kozlowski, John Meillon and Mark Blum, turned Hogan into an international superstar. It’s also great fun. "You call that a knife?"

A New York reporter searches the Australian Outback for a maverick hunter with a legendary reputation, and invites the adventurer back to America.

But the die-hard Aussie needs to draw on all his survival skills to adjust to life in the urban jungle.

Family Flick

Spider-Man: Far from Home, 6.35pm, RTÉ One

Superior superhero adventure sequel, starring Tom Holland as the eponymous web-slinger, alongside Jake Gyllenhaal, Zendaya and Samuel L Jackson.

In the aftermath of the Avengers' climactic battle for the fate of the universe, the teenage webslinger just wants life to get back to normal.

A school trip across Europe seems just the thing - but he ends up recruited by spy agency SHIELD to battle an invasion by elemental monsters from another dimension.
