The Great British Bake Off, 8.00pm, Channel 4

The bakers take on three challenges exploring authentic Mexican bakes.

They have to put their twist on the classic sweet bread pan dulce for the Signature, tackle a Mexican street food staple in the Technical, and make their own showstopping version of the milk-soaked tres leches cake.

Which bakers will impress Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood (above, middle) enough to keep their place in the tent, and who will be heading home?

As usual, Matt Lucas and Noel Fielding (above, left and right) present.

Make Me Prime Minister, 9.00pm, Channel 4

After just a couple of weeks of seeinmg how Liz Truss is performing in the UK’s top job, I reckon the winner of this show couldn’t do a worse job.

This week, Alastair (above) and Sayeeda challenge the candidates to tackle obesity - but Holly's proposed policy slogan definitely doesn't get the reaction she was hoping for.

Caroline goes on a charm offensive with the attending press, and Labour MP Jess Phillips is sent to see how the candidates are getting on, only to witness Verity and Danny battling it out in novelty food costumes.

Storyville: Midwives, 9.00pm, BBC Four

Two midwives, one Buddhist and one Muslim, defy strict ethnic divisions to work side by side in a makeshift clinic in western Myanmar.

Hla is a Buddhist and the owner of the under-resourced clinic, where the Rohingya (a Muslim minority community) are persecuted and denied basic rights.

Nyo Nyo is a Rohingya and an apprentice midwife who acts as assistant and translator at the clinic.

Snow Hnin Ei Hlaing's feature debut was made over five turbulent years in Myanmar, and shines a spotlight on these courageous women who unite, despite the risks and challenges of their own.

How Long Will You Live? 8.30pm, RTÉ One

Phil Kieran meets 32-year-old accountant and mother-of-two Catherine Duffy from Palmerston in Dublin, who has Asperger's syndrome.

She finds it challenging to find the time to take part in sport or other activities to keep fit and hopes the doctor can help her get back into sports, improve her lifestyle and ultimately extend her life expectancy.

Paxman: Putting Up with Parkinson’s, 9.00pm, UTV/ITV

Jeremy Paxman tells his own story of living with Parkinson's disease, as the veteran TV presenter allows cameras into his life for the first time since his diagnosis 18 months ago.

He speaks to other high-profile people living with Parkinson's, meets Jane Asher, the President of Parkinson's UK, attends an English National Ballet therapy dance class and learns to play bowls.

He also meets experts who are at the leading edge of research, including observing a brain dissection - as well as the woman who, scientists believe, can smell the presence of the disease in others.

Narrated by Rebecca Front.

Documentary about a fraud scandal in Romania's healthcare system that was exposed after survivors of a nightclub fire began dying in suspicious circumstances.

Their deaths occurred while they were recovering in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

When a new health minister was subsequently appointed, journalists follow his attempts, in the face of monumental obstacles, to reform a system riddled with corruption.

Trawlermen: Hunting the Catch, 8.00pm, BBC One

In this new seafaring series, Ocean Pride targets shipwrecks off Cornwall in pursuit of pollack, and Margaret of Ladram hunts for lucrative dover sole in the English Channel.

Meanwhile, off the Yorkshire coast, crabber Tydus welcomes a greenhorn to the crew.

I thought this drama was preposterous nonsense, but the missus loves it. Po-tay-to, po-tah-to.

A great cast can’t hide the fact that much of the storyline is beyond belief.

Anyway, as events spiral out of control, Jefferson Grieff prepares to face execution and time is also running out for Janice Fife in the cellar.

An increasingly desperate Harry Watling struggles to do the right thing - but can he stay on the side of the angels and still keep his wife and son safe?
