Amy Brenneman and Alia Shawkat talk to RTÉ Entertainment's John Byrne about new Disney+ drama The Old Man.
Based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Thomas Perry, The Old Man is a drama that centres on Dan Chase (Jeff Bridges), who absconded from the CIA decades ago and lives off the grid.
He 's living a quiet life until an assassin arrives and tries to take Chase out. As a result, the old operative learns that, to ensure his future, he must reconcile his past.
The FBI's Assistant Director for Counterintelligence (John Lithgow) is then called on to hunt Chase down because of his complicated past with the rogue fugitive.
As well as Bridges and Lithgow, this show's superb cast also includes Amy Brenneman and Alia Shawkat, who both play pivotal roles in the show as Zoe McDonald and FBI agent Angela Adams.
The Old Man is on Disney+ from September 28.
