Aged 18, she received a coveted slot on the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury in 2017, which led to gigs across Europe, North America, India and supporting Snow Patrol on their 2018/19 UK arena tour.

The winner of Best Emerging Artist - Northern Ireland Music Prize, 2018 and recipient of the PRS Foundation Momentum Fund, 2020, Roe’s music has been used as part of a TV and radio campaign for BBC Music NI, in ITV’s The Only Way is Essex, Channel 4’s Made in Chelsea and Netflix’s Terrace House.

Speaking about her debut album, she says, "These songs are a documentary of my inner most thoughts and insecurities over the past couple years. It feels like a lot to hand them off to the world, but there’s also some kind of huge relief in that. Like this is who I am and what I’m capable of."

Tell us three things about yourself . . .

I'm a huge introvert, but you can probably tell that from my music. My favourite colour is green. I’m a massive fan of the gym right now, I don’t know how long that’ll last, but it’s been great for my head.

How would you describe your music?

Existential indie-pop.

Who are your musical inspirations?

Girl In Red, Soccer Mommy, and Villagers lately. My inspirations change a lot because of who I’m listening to in the moment.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

I went to see Gloria Estefan with my Dad when I was 12, it was a huge arena show and blew my mind.

What was the first record you ever bought?

I think it was Elbow - Seldom Seen Kid.

What’s your favourite song right now?

Villagers - The First Day.

Favourite lyric of all time?

So many of Joni Mitchell’s lyrics are my favourite, but this one stands out. "I could drink a case of you, darling, and I would still be on my feet’.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Step - Vampire Weekend, I just keep coming back to it.
