RTÉ's Marty Morrissey will be taking to the stage in the panto Snow White & Sammy and Buffy at the National Stadium in Dublin.
He will star as The Magic Mirror and do battle with comedian Katherine Lynch as The Wicked Queen in the show.
Morrissey said he is "so delighted" to be treading the boards.
"Panto is a great family tradition, and I can't wait to bring a bit of the Marty party magic to the part," he continued.
"I couldn't resist saying, 'Oh yes I will'."
The show opens at the National Stadium on Tuesday 13 December, with ticket details on panto.ie.
