Dublin rock band Aslan has said it has been a tough week after they were forced to cancel their 40th anniversary show at the 3Arena following a health setback for front man Christy Dignam.
2/2 We want to thank everyone for the love and support you have shown Christy, Joe, Alan and Billy.. it's been a really tough week for them all, especially Christy but we will be back soon and we will have a new date for our 3Arena show and it will be even bigger and better. ❤️

In a tweet today, they said that there will be a new date organised for their show at the venue and promised it will be 'bigger and better'.
The band thanked everyone for the love and support they have shown since they announced earlier this week they would have to postpone the show due to the singer's ill health.
1/2 We need to clarify that the video that is being shared on social media is an old video from months ago. It's great to see everyone enjoying it and this is something Christy enjoys doing at times when he is in hospital and he can’t wait until he’s back doing what he loves best pic.twitter.com/oISFksOkpl

They also clarified that a post which has been widely shared on social media over the past 24 hours, which shows Dignam singing in hospital, is an old video and was not filmed this week. They said Christy 'can't wait till he's back doing what he loves best'.
