After her triumphant and packed show at Electric Picnic this weekend, country and pop sweetheart CMAT has announced an extra date at Dublin's 3Olympia Theatre this weekend after her first gig sold out.
She will now play a sold-out hometown show on 9 December and a second show on 8 December, with tickets from €25 including booking on sale this Friday 9 September at 10am.
Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson released her debut album, If My Wife New I’d Be Dead, earlier this year with singles, I Wanna Be A Cowboy, Baby!, Lonely, No More Virgos and Every Bottle (Is My Boyfriend), confirming her as one of the brightest rising stars in Ireland.
Speaking to RTÉ Entertainment last March about Garth Brooks five-night run at Croke Park, which begins this Friday, she said, "I don’t want to say I’m a Garth Brooks apologist, but I will see I understand the Garth Brooks thing a little bit," she says.
"Whatever you think that man is a performer, and you can’t take that away from him. Look at him on stage, he’s a f***ing madman! It’s like Cirque Du Soleil country."
