Fair City fans have been left hoping that new parents Erica and Doug will get the best of news in Sunday night's episode on RTÉ One.
The couple have been put through the wringer in recent days as their newborn daughter's health deteriorated.
In scenes to air on Sunday, Doug arrives back at the hospital to find Erica trying to take in what she has just heard.
"Erica, what is it?" he says. "What's happened? What's going on?"
"The doctor's been in," replies Erica.
"Is she ok?" says Doug.
