Dating With My Mates, 8.00pm, W

This new dating show has a fairly preposterous pitch – but by all accounts this is very watchable. And not in a bad way.

It sees a group of four single friends go out for a three-course dinner with a major twist – along with each course, a new blind date joins the mates at their table.

First up – and from York – are Hannah, Lou, Clare and Shannon, who are looking for love. Will gym-goer Lewis, rugby player David or medical student Mike prove to be a match?

Writer/director Kitty Green's drama, starring Julia Garner and Matthew Macfadyen, centres on a Harvey Weinstein-like, domineering movie boss.

Jane, a young graduate, lands her dream job as a junior assistant to a commanding entertainment mogul.

But over the course of one day realises her vocation has turned into a nightmare.

She decides to make a stand when things take a dark turn and power is abused.

Shetland, 9.00pm, BBC One

This week Perez reassures Rachel that last night's horrific discovery may have nothing to do with the disappearance of her son Connor.

Danny is outraged at the decision to let Pepper Waldron's family return home to Ayrshire - and news soon comes in that the ex-cop has fled Shetland.

This feelgood show returns, with Jay Blades (below) and the craftspeople back to hear the stories of more treasured items before bringing them back to life for their owners.

Master cobbler Dean Westmoreland is put through his paces working on a custom-made pair of running shoes.

Kirsten Ramsay gets a novelty drinks table in the shape of a bulldog, art conservator Lucia Scalisi restores a woman's portrait of her younger self, and David Burville tries to get a barrel organ going again.

Britain’s Secret War Babies, 9.00pm, Channel 4

This documentary looks fascinating.

Two people born to African American GIs and British women set out to discover who their fathers were and learn more about their black heritage.

Growing up, the identity of Mary and John's fathers was a mystery and they were raised in predominantly white rural areas without a parent who could empathise with their experiences.

Now, with the help of DNA and genealogical research, presenter Sean Fletcher sets out to unravel the secrets and lies surrounding Mary and John's births.

In this latest from Marvel Studios, Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) is an attorney specialising in superhuman-oriented legal cases.

But she must also navigate the complicated life of a single, 30-something who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk.
