Ahead of the release of their second album a Dó this October, Telefís, the duo of the late Cathal Coughlan producer Garret "Jacknife" Lee, have released the Basement Jaxx remix of new song, Space Is Us.
It's a the latest in a series of new songs and videos from the duo, who released their acclaimed debut album last March, and marks the final music recorded by former Microdisney and Fatima Mansion frontman Cathal, who sadly passed away in May.
"One of the most exciting things for me about making music is getting the chance to collaborate with artists that I love and admire," says Jacknife Lee.
"With Telefís we’ve been lucky to have some legends work with us - Jah Wobble, Thomas Leer, A Certain Ratio, Will Sergeant. and now Basement Jaxx!
"Cathal and I have been fans from their early days. I did a remix for Where’s Your Head At? just after my Missy Elliott bootleg came out in 2001. We’re thrilled with this mix and how they’ve bent Space Is Us into something to jump around to."
Space Is Us (Basement Jaxx Remix) will be available on all digital platforms on 12 August and a Dó will be released on 7 October.
