Warner Bros' superhero blockbuster The Flash is going ahead amid ongoing controversies surrounding its star Ezra Miller.
Franchise boss David Zaslav said the studio was "very excited" about a spate of upcoming films including Black Adam, Shazam! Fury Of The Gods and The Flash.
It comes after the surprise news that DC would be scrapping its upcoming Batgirl film, filmed entirely in Glasgow, months before it was due to be released in late 2022.
"We have seen The Flash, Black Adam and Shazam 2," Zaslav said, according to Variety, during the company’s Q2 earnings call on Thursday.
"We are very excited about them. We’ve seen them. We think they are terrific, and we think we can make them even better."
Miller, who identifies as they/them, has been embroiled in multiple controversies in the past several months including being arrested twice in Hawaii on charges including second-degree assault and disorderly conduct at a karaoke bar.
The actor’s exact whereabouts are currently unknown, but they have also been accused of the abuse and grooming of a young girl.
The Flash, part of the DC Justice League universe, is scheduled for release in June 2023.
Following news that Batgirl was being axed by Warner Bros, directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah said they were "saddened and shocked".
In a joint statement on Instagram the pair wished fans could have the "opportunity to see and embrace the final film themselves".
Batgirl was due to star Hollywood A-listers Michael Keaton, Brendan Fraser, JK Simmons and Leslie Grace.
Production reportedly cost an estimated $70 million dollars (€68 million) and the film was scheduled for release in late 2022.
After test screenings the studio decided to shelve the production completely, and it will no longer appear in cinemas or on streaming service HBO Max, according to US outlets.
Last April, Ezra Miller was arrested in Hawaii for second-degree assault following an incident that allegedly left a 26-year-old woman with a cut to her forehead.
According to the Hawaii Police Department (HPD), Miller had become "irate" and had allegedly thrown a chair that struck the woman.
Officers arrived shortly after 1am local time to a private residence in Pahoa, on Hawaii's Big Island, following reports that an assault had taken place.
"Shortly after 1am on Tuesday April 19 2022, a 29-year-old visitor from Vermont was arrested for second-degree assault after an incident at a residence in Pahoa," a report from the HPD said.
"During the course of their investigation, police determined that the individual, later identified as Ezra Miller, became irate after being asked to leave and reportedly threw a chair, striking a 26-year-old female on the forehead, resulting in an approximate half-inch cut.
"The female victim refused treatment for her injury."
The actor, who identifies as they/them, was arrested at 1.30am on Tuesday morning after being located on a road during a traffic stop.
They were subsequently released pending further investigation.
The HPD said the investigation remained active.
It comes after Miller was charged with harassment and disorderly conduct at a karaoke bar last month.
Police said the actor grabbed a mic from a singing woman and lunged at a man playing darts, after allegedly becoming aggravated by a rendition of the Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper ballad Shallow from the film A Star Is Born.
Last week, the couple dropped their petition for a temporary restraining order against Miller, though their lawyer declined to comment on the reason.
The actor also stars in the latest instalment of the Fantastic Beasts franchise, The Secrets of Dumbledore.
