The worm begins to turn in The Thing About Pam, My Insta Scammer Friend looks at online friends and influencers, two troubled dogs return to The Supervet, and there are more revelations on Big Oil vs the World . . .
Pick of the Day
The Thing About Pam, 10.15pm, RTÉ One
I’ve warmed to this daft dramedy based on a true story of deceit and murder in the American heartland of Missouri, starring Renee Zellwegger as the appalling Pam Hupp.
The fact that’s it based on a real murder make the comic elements jar a little, but it’s overshadowed by the sight of a clearly corrupt judicial system at work and the sheer stupidity of almost everyone involved.
In this week’s episode Pam starts to lose control as Russ' new trial looms, facing money troubles, a relentless Dateline producer and difficulty caring for her sick mother.
Don’t Miss
Only You, 11.40pm, BBC One
Romantic drama, starring the impressive duo of Laia Costa and Josh O'Connor, based on the successful David Nichols novel of the same name.

The couple are seemingly made for each other and quickly move in together. But although they are soon ready to try for a family, Elena's biological clock is ticking.
Big Oil vs the World, 9.00pm, BBC Two
This eye-popping documentary series continues. If anyone doubts the evil that lurks at the heart of capitalism, here’s evidence.
Christine Todd Whitman (George W Bush's former environment chief) tells the story of how the oil industry successfully lobbied President Bush (above) to reverse course on his campaign promise to regulate carbon emissions.
Plus, a look at the growing tensions between two of the world's biggest oil companies, ExxonMobil and BP.
The Baby, 9.00pm, Sky Atlantic
This oddball series continues with a back-to-the-future episode as we learn the how, why, where and when of the death-enabling child.
As Natasha and Mrs. Eaves remain trapped in Barbara's summer solstice ritual, the baby's complicated origin, connection to Mrs. Eaves, and trauma-filled path to Natasha are revealed.
Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? 9.00pm, BBC Four
Robert Aldrich's drama, starring bitter Hollywood rivals Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, is a true horror story. And a superb one at that.
Former child star Jane Hudson fails to launch an adult career, while her younger sister Blanche becomes a successful actress.
Decades later, Blanche is in a wheelchair and an embittered Jane keeps her a virtual prisoner in their home, carrying out a campaign of sadistic abuse while dreaming hopelessly of a comeback.
And before that, there’s Talking Pictures: Bette and Joan (8.30pm), which profiles the pair. Nice.
