Dec Donnelly has announced the arrival of his second child, a baby boy called Jack with wife Ali Astall, a little brother for their daughter Isla.

The delighted daddy announced the little boy as "a very welcome ray of light", coming just weeks after the death of his older brother Father Fr Dermott Donnelly.

The 46-year-old TV presenter, best known as one half of presenting duo Ant and Dec, shared the news via the pair's joint social media accounts.

He revealed the baby has been named Jack Anthony Alphonsus.

Dec's Catholic priest brother died aged 55 following a short illness a few weeks ago.
