The Gray Man, Netflix

Ryan Gosling is The Gray Man and Chris Evans is his psychopathic adversary in this spy thriller directed by Anthony and Joe Russo.

CIA operative Court Gentry (Gosling), aka Sierra Six. Plucked from a federal penitentiary and recruited by his handler, Donald Fitzroy (Billy Bob Thornton), Gentry was once a highly-skilled, Agency-sanctioned merchant of death.

But now the tables have turned and Six is the target, hunted across the globe by Lloyd Hansen (Chris Evans), a former cohort at the CIA, who will stop at nothing to take him out.

Agent Dani Miranda (Ana de Armas) has his back. He’ll need it.

Dunkirk, 10.35pm, RTÉ One

Christopher Nolan's wartime drama, which he wrote, directed and produced, starring Kenneth Branagh, Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance and Fionn Whitehead.

Allied soldiers from Belgium, the British Empire and France are surrounded by the German army, and face a tense wait for evacuation, during a fierce battle in northern France during the Second World War.

FBI: International, 9.00pm, Sky Witness

This fast-paced drama is the third and latest iteration of the FBI brand and follows the elite operatives of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s International Fly Team.

Headquartered in Budapest, they travel the world with the mission of tracking and neutralising threats against American citizens wherever they may be.

Special Agent Scott Forrester and his FBI fly team head to Croatia, after Isobel Castille enlists their help to capture an American fugitive who escaped to Zagreb with a 14-year-old girl.

Europol agent Katrin Jaeger attempts to help the team secure the necessary support and access from the less-than-cooperative local authorities, in the conclusion of a three-part crossover event.

Josh Widdicombe: Bit Much, 11.05pm, Channel 4

At the London Palladium, Josh Widdicombe performs his stand-up show where he finally tackles the hot comedy topics of advent calendars, weddings and the closing time of his local park.

Jane Austin’s Sanditon, 9.00pm, UTV/ITV

Here’s the second season of the period drama, starring Rose Williams and Crystal Clarke.

Charlotte returns to Sanditon and makes an important decision. Meanwhile, Georgiana meets an intriguing artist and Esther Babington has an unwanted encounter with someone from her past.
