Critically-acclaimed Gen Z pop star Beabadoobee has released her second studio album, Beatopia, and plays Dublin and Belfast this this October. We asked her the BIG questions . . .
Born in the Philippines and raised in London, Bea Kristi began recording music as Beabadoobee in 2017 and released her first original song, Coffee.

At just 21 years old, Beabadoobee already has a debut album and five EPs under her belt, while also receiving BRIT Award and BBC Sound Of nominations.
Tell us three things about yourself?
Hey! My favourite guitar is a Princess Gretsch. I played violin when I was super young. I never eat the centre of foods!
How would you describe your music?
It's alternative indie. But also, with folk and electronic sounds mixed in. It’s a mix of all the music I love
Who are your musical inspirations?
Duster, Pavement, Cocteau Twins, Bjork, Smashing Pumpkins, Eliot Smith, Stina Nofrdenstam, The Cranberries.
What was the first gig you ever went to and the first record you ever bought/downloaded?
First gig was 1D, One Direction. Green Day’s Dookie was the first CD I ever bought myself.
What’s your favourite song right now?
Pictures Of You by The Cure.
Favourite lyric of all time?
"It’s not the worst you’ve looked it’s just the most you’ve ever cared" by Lali Puna.
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
That’s a hard question! Too many bands but I’ll say anything by The Sundays would for work :)
