Today is the ultimate one to check out Nico Reynolds’ All Fired Up, Shamrock Rovers are in Champions League action in Bulgaria, and there are the final episodes of The Control Room and Everything I Know About Love . . .

Pick of the Day

All Fired Up, 7.00pm, RTÉ One

It’s one of those rare weeks when outdoor cooking and al fresco eating makes a lot of sense in Ireland.

Here, chef Nico Reynolds invites some friends to the woods for a forest feast and makes dishes that are perfect for catering for a crowd.

They include flaky trout crostini, easy pork and asparagus skewers, a charred scallions and cannelini bean salad, and a slow-cooked leg of lamb.

Don’t Miss

Live UEFA Champions League, 6.30pm, RTÉ2

It’s Razgrad in Bulgaria as Ludogorets host Ireland’s Champions League representatives, Shamrock Rovers (Kick-off 6.45pm).

Peter Collins presents coverage of the second qualifying-round first-leg encounter at Ludogorets Arena.

Rovers recorded a 3-0 aggregate victory over Hibernians of Malta in the previous round, but now face a much tougher test against a club that has won 11 consecutive Bulgarian titles.

Shamrock Rovers' Rory Gaffney scores against Hibernians at Tallaght Stadium

They’ve also played group stage Champions League or Europa League for the last five seasons. On top of that, there’s the heat.

All things considered, a narrow defeat for Stephen Bradley’s Hoops would be a very good result, so they can keep the tie alive ahead of next week’s second leg in Tallaght.

Tonight’s game comes with analysis from Stuart Byrne and Stephen Rice, and commentary by Des Curran.

Bake Off: The Professionals, 8.00pm, Channel 4

Stacey Solomon (above) and Liam Charles present the semi-final, and in a first for the patisserie contest, the teams must create a plated dessert for each of the judges.

With no recipe and just the ingredients and equipment before them, they draw on their experience to produce something that will hopefully stop Cherish Finden and Benoit Blin in their tracks.

For the second challenge, they must create an edible table scene inspired by the land of the dinosaurs, with a large macaron cake at its heart.
