James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli has revealed that the franchise is in the process of "reinventing" 007 following Daniel Craig's departure and that "filming is at least two years away".
US entertainment trade publication Deadline says the franchise boss made her comments at a British Film Institute (BFI) event in London honouring Broccoli - the daughter of original Bond boss Albert 'Cubby' Broccoli - and her half-brother and fellow Bond producer Michael G Wilson with BFI Fellowships.

On the subject of who would take over the Bond role, Broccoli is quoted as saying: "Nobody's in the running. We're working out where to go with him, we're talking that through."
"There isn't a script and we can't come up with one until we decide how we're going to approach the next film because, really, it's a reinvention of Bond," she continued.
"We're reinventing who he is and that takes time. I'd say that filming is at least two years away."
Craig bowed out as Bond with 2021's No Time to Die after five films and 15 years in the role.
