Melissa McCarthy stars in new comedy God’s Favourite Idiot, there’s more from Conversations with Friends and The Repair Shop, and the final season of Love, Victor arrives . . .
Pick of the Day
God’s Favourite Idiot, Netflix
Created by Ben Falcone (Melissa McCarthy's husband and collaborator), this quirky comedy has been thematically compared to Monty Python’s legendary Life of Brian.
Falcone also stars as mid-level Tech support employee Clark Thompson who finds love with co worker Amily Luck, played by Melissa McCarthy.
But at exactly the same time Thompson becomes the unwitting messenger of God.
Also, there’s roller skating, a lake of fire and an impending apocalypse.
With all that to cope with, and a day’s work to be done, Clark’s really got his hands full.

Judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young challenge them to follow the pattern for a pair of women's sailor trousers, which have a complex bib-front opening and equally tricky pockets.
They then transform men's shirts into women's blouses, before perfectly fitting a bias-cut evening gown reminiscent of outfits worn by Hollywood stars Katharine Hepburn and Bette Davis.
The Bridge: Race to a Fortune, 10.00pm, Channel 4
The halfway point arrives but both teams are far from reaching their target.
