Colin Farrell is set to star in Sugar, a "genre-bending" series for Apple Studios.
US entertainment trade publication the Hollywood Reporter says the new Apple series will also see Farrell working as executive producer.
Sugar has been created by Farrell's fellow executive producer Mark Protosevich (Thor, I Am Legend). No details of the plot have been released.
It was announced earlier this year that Farrell will reprise his role as The Batman villain The Penguin for a spin-off series from HBO.
