Actor Johnny Depp and guitarist Jeff Beck have announced details of their new album featuring cover versions of songs by Irish piper Davy Spillane, The Beach Boys and John Lennon and two original songs by Depp.
The 13-track album is called 18 and will be released on 15 July and arrives as Beck, who rose to fame in The Yardbirds, and Depp, who recently won his controversial case against his ex-wife Amber Heard, continue their European tour until 25 July.
The first single from the album, a Depp 0riginal entitled This Is A Song For Miss Hedy Lamarr, is out now.
Beck and Depp first met in 2016 and decided to make an album together.
Speaking about the title of 18, Beck says, "When Johnny and I started playing together, it really ignited our youthful spirit and creativity. We would joke about how we felt 18 again, so that just became the album title too."
The cover features an illustration of Beck and Depp as 18-year-olds that was drawn and designed by Beck's wife Sandra.
For the last 12 years Depp has recorded and toured with the Hollywood Vampires, a band he started with Alice Cooper and Joe Perry of Aerosmith.
