It has been confirmed that Guy Pearce will reprise his role as Neighbours heartthrob Mike Young for the Australian soap's finale.
The 54-year-old received his big break on Ramsay Street, where he played Mike from 1986 to 1989.
In a statement, the LA Confidential star said it is "very exciting and surreal" to be back in Erinsborough.

He described it as "like coming home" after 33 years away.
"It's where it all started for me professionally," he continued.
"I've been asked to come back on occasions over the years and wondered if it was the right thing to do, but once I knew the show was finishing, I knew I had to do it.
What better way to start your weekend than with this?!

"While I've caught up with many of the cast I worked with on the show over the years, there is nothing like being here all together again."
Pearce is joining fellow A-listers Kylie Minogue (Charlene Robinson) and Jason Donovan (Scott Robinson) for Neighbours' swansong.
The Sun reports that Ian Smith (Harold Bishop), Paul Keane (Des Clarke), Peter O'Brien (Shane Ramsay), Natalie Bassingthwaighte (Izzy Hoyland), Daniel MacPherson (Joel Samuel), Melissa Bell (Lucy Robinson), Mark Little (Joe Mangel), and Olympia Valance (Paige Smith) will also be back, among many other familiar faces.

The Neighbours finale will air on Australian television on 1 August and on RTÉ on 3 August.
In March, it was announced that the curtain was coming down because the soap had failed to find a new broadcaster in the UK following Channel 5's decision to cease its funding. Unlike rival soap Home and Away, Neighbours has been primarily produced for the UK market for many years.
Neighbours airs weekdays on RTÉ One and RTÉ2 and is available on the RTÉ Player.
