Forgotten: The Widows of the Irish Revolution, 10.15pm, RTÉ One
Historian Lindsey Earner-Byrne examines the stories of the widows of seven of the men executed in 1916 for their part in the events of the Easter Rising.
The documentary reveals not just the stories of their extraordinary lives, but also the issues that they faced in the post-revolutionary period and the birth of the new Irish Free State.

Another Thursday night Tinseltown treat.
Between 1940 and 1942, Orson Welles spent a hectic few years producing pictures with RKO.
This documentary examines his time working on It's All True, a project he later abandoned, and the last feature made with the collaboration of film company that distributed Citizen Kane.
This is followed by two of Welles’ masterpieces: Citizen Kane (at 9pm) and The Magnificent Ambersons at 11pm.

I First of a two-part documentary examining the events surrounding the Manchester Arena bombing on May 22, 2017.
When a terrorist detonated a suicide bomb at an Ariana Grande concert, he killed 22 people and injured more than 800 others.
The opening episode begins with a countdown of the hours leading up to the bombing, as well as rewinding back to the childhoods of the brothers who planned and carried out the attack.
It also looks at the lives of their victims, contrasting their respective upbringings.
