A sequel of 90s hit show Quantum Leap has been commissioned with a new cast consisting of Top Gun's Raymond Lee as Dr Ben Seong, Ghostbusters' Ernie Hudson as Herbert, newcomer Caitlin Bassett and The Sandman's Mason Alexander Park.
Entertainment publication Deadline, reports that the original star of Quantum Leap, Scott Bakula, was initially rumoured to be involved, but is not at this point.
The upcoming series picks up in the present day, 30 years after the events of the original show, in which Dr Sam Beckett stepped in the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished.
A new team has been assembled to restart the project in the hopes of uncovering the mysteries of the machine and the man who built it.
No release date for the new series has been announced.
