It is reported that actors Jesse Williams and Sarah Drew will reprise their Grey's Anatomy roles as Jackson Avery and April Kepner for the season 18 finale on US television next month.
Entertainment trade website Deadline, which first reported the story, says that fans will see the pair back on screens on 26 May in the US.
Williams left the long-running medical drama last spring after 12 seasons. Drew bowed out in 2018 but had a guest appearance last season as part of the exit storyline of Williams' character, her former on-screen husband.
Hopes will be high among fans that the current season finale will reveal that former couple Jackson and April are back together.
