Ed Sheeran begins his world tour at Croke Park this weekend, with the concerts on Saturday and Sunday also marking the return of live music to the stadium following the pandemic.
Tickets to the gigs are digital-only – so concert-goers are advised to download tickets from their Ticketmaster account to their phones in advance of the show and make sure that their phones are fully charged. Details on how to download or transfer tickets have been mailed to customers.

Gates at Croke Park open at 4pm and concert-goers are asked to be mindful of local residents and not to gather in advance. Support acts are Denise Chaila and Maisie Peters. Ed Sheeran himself is expected on stage at 8pm.
There will be a comprehensive policing plan in place over the weekend aimed at providing a safe environment for those attending the concerts and minimising disruption to residential and community life.

Concert-goers are advised to plan their journeys in advance and use public transport where possible.
In all, Ed Sheeran will play 10 concerts in April and May in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Belfast, with sold-out warm-up gigs in Dublin venues Whelan's (tonight) and Vicar Street (Wednesday) kicking off the run of shows.
