The Sunday Game Live, 1.00pm, RTÉ2

The GAA inter-county championships return – a little earlier than usual - and live TV coverage begins with a couple of key clashes of the ash.

First up is Waterford v Tipperary (throw-in 2.00pm) in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship first-round tie at Walsh Park.

Waterford were eliminated by Clare at the first hurdle last season, while Tipperary were runners-up to Limerick.

Joanne Cantwell presents, with analysis from Anthony Daly Donal Óg Cusack and Shane Dowling.

Then at 3.45pm, attention turns to Cork v Limerick (throw-in 4.00pm), another major Munster meeting.

These sides met in last year's semi-finals, with Limerick claiming victory and going on to defeat Tipperary in the final.

DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland, 6.30pm, RTÉ One

In the third episode of this season, Baz and the team meet the Parsons family (above) in Longwood, county Meath, and set about building a much-needed extension to cater for their sons’ needs.

Glen, Jen and their two boys Ryan and Josh live in the village of Longwood, Meath. There are three members of this young family with additional needs and their small semi-detached home was no longer practical or functional.

Jen (37), initially applied to DIY SOS looking for help for her youngest son Josh (6) who, after years of investigation, was diagnosed with Smith-Magennis Syndrome, a severe developmental disorder that affects many parts of the body.

Josh is non-verbal, peg-fed and is in a wheelchair - he is unable to walk, crawl or sit unaided. Josh’s older brother Ryan (9) has autism and so has sensory requirements and needs his space and quiet time, which was very difficult for him to get in their original house.

Jen also has multiple health issues which are becoming increasingly debilitating and affecting her mobility.

All Creatures Great and Small, 7.30pm, RTÉ One

As this charming reboot continues, the fate of a struggling young widow causes difficulties for James and Helen's burgeoning romance.

Meanwhile, Siegfried has another scheme to whip Tristan into shape, and a visit from Tricki Woo causes chaos in Skeldale House.

The Great House Revival, 9.30pm, RTÉ One

The H-ubiquitous Hugh Wallace (below) meets Paul McPhillips and Judith Caffrey in Drum, county Monaghan, where they are renovating Anderson's pub shop on the quiet main street of the village.

The purchase price of just €48,000 left them with a budget of €250,000 to restore it as their home, while also reinvigorating the village with a cafe and accommodation.

Gentleman Jack, 9.00pm, BBC One

Extra gravy here as the great Joanne Scanlan guest stars in this week’s episode of Sally Wainwright’s hugely entertaining period drama.

The couple's honeymoon is disrupted by the arrival of an old flame of Anne's, who threatens to reveal all the secrets of her complex romantic history.

Back in Halifax, Ann's family hatch a plan to marry her off to a man as soon as she is back in the country.

Over at the Sowden's farm, Suzannah is consumed with regret about moving in with Thomas, whose dark temper frightens the family.

New or Returning Shows

Doctor Who, 7.10pm, BBC One

In this swashbuckling Easter special, the Doctor, Yaz and Dan travel back to the 19th-century and find themselves having a run-in with notorious pirate queen Madame Ching.

She’s on the hunt for a legendary lost treasure – but isn’t the only trouble the trio face on their travels.

They’re unaware that an old enemy is rising from the depths, and the Doctor is soon drawn into a confrontation with the ocean-dwelling Sea Devils.

Idris Elba's Fight School, 9.00pm, BBC Two

The actor Idris Elba puts eight young people through an intensive course of boxing training to give them the discipline, ambition and mental resilience required to change their lives.

After a search across the UK for his recruits, Idris whittled down hundreds of applications before selecting his crew - now it's time for him and coaches Rachel Bower and Greg White to get them into shape.

Ross Kemp: Shipwreck Treasure, 9.00pm, Sky History

Former EastEnders star Ross Kemp (below) dives to retrace a family tragedy and uncover fascinating lost stories from British maritime history.

He will be joined by expert diver Emily Turton and maritime archaeologist and expert diver Mallory Haas on expeditions to the most spectacular shipwrecks in the UK, uncovering hidden treasures.

Under the expert tutelage of dive supervisor Neil Brock, Ross completes his specialist SCUBA training. Inspired by the stories of his shipwrecked relatives, Ross heads up to the Royal Navy’s historic naval base in the far northerly Orkney Islands, Scapa Flow.

Ross and Emily explore a captured German scout ship called the F2 and recover a slew of artefacts that could be linked to Ross’s two cousins who died serving in the Royal Navy during WWII.

Gradam Ceoil, 9.30pm, TG4

The TG4 traditional Irish Music Awards, which honours the musical heroes of our age, has a special birthday this year as Gradam Ceoil'has its 25th anniversary.

Presented by Doireann Ní Ghlacáin and Páidí Ó Lionáird, the show comes live from Dublin's National Concert Hall.

Paddy Glackin (above), Diarmuid Ó Meachair, Connie O'Connell, Edwina Guckian, Dolores Keane and Sarah Ghriallais will all be receiving awards.

This year they have added a new Group award and this goes to Skara Brae who are celebrating their 50th anniversary.

Family Flick

The Lion King, 5.45pm, BBC One

Here’s a real treat for the family this Easter.

The much-loved Disney animated musical, featuring the voices of Matthew Broderick, Jeremy Irons, Rowan Atkinson, Whoopi Goldberg and James Earl Jones.

A lion prince blames himself for his father's death and flees into the wilderness, leaving his wicked uncle to take over.

As the cub grows to adulthood, he receives a vision of the dead king, who inspires him to seek revenge and reclaim his rightful throne.
