Seán Tracey from Co. Wicklow has taken home the title of Ireland's Young Filmmaker of the Year 2022.
The 26th annual Ireland's Young Filmmaker of the Year Awards, presented by Fresh International Film Festival, took place on Thursday, 14 April, at Limerick's Odeon Cinema and was hosted by Gemma Bradley and Stephen Byrne.

17-year-old Tracey won the top gong for his film The Least I Can Do, which follows a naive teenager David who witnesses his best friend inappropriately engage with a girl at a party.
Speaking about his win, Tracey said: "Having The Least I Can Do be awarded top prize at this year's Fresh Film Festival is undoubtedly the most satisfying conclusion to both this film's journey and my time with Fresh that I could have ever asked for.
"Having entered this fantastic festival every year since 2017, Fresh has been a constant presence in my adolescence that has only ever positively challenged me to work more and more on improving my craft."

Second prize was awarded to 16-year-old Dubliner Max Hendrickson for his film The Oubliette which follows a man who moves into a small apartment in a big city and notices strange and mysterious occurrences.
Third prize went to 18-year-old Wexford director Aoife Rees for her film A Sad Excuse for a Teenage Girl, a coming-of-age story about Ellie who is about to turn 18 but feels overwhelmed by the thought.
The award for Best Group went to Emerging Limerick Filmmakers for Asset of Teeth, and Best School went to Conall Flynn and Noah Finneran of Coláiste Iognaid Galway for Heart Of Land.
The International winner was Ava Bounds from the UK, for her film Beth.
