Singer Emeli Sandé has thanked people for their support after revealing that she is in a relationship with another female musician, a classical pianist.
In an interview with Metro last week, the Read All About It singer said: "We met through music. And I definitely feel happier than ever. It feels great."
She has now followed up with a post on Instagram, thanking people for their good wishes and sharing a picture of herself with her partner.
Sandé wrote: "It's taken me many years to find the strength to be myself. I've struggled for a long time to accept myself as I am.
"I'm so lucky to have found my soul mate Yoana, she's such an extraordinary woman! Falling in love with her gave me the strength I needed! Feels so good to be in love and I feel happier than ever.
"I'm deeply touched by all your messages of love and support. Thank you so much for your acceptance and kind wishes. Feels like a huge weight has been lifted, here's to a new beginning in truth and happiness!"
She signed off with emojis that included the rainbow flag.
Sandé was previously married to marine biologist Adam Gouraguine. They split in 2014.
Her new album, Let's Say for Instance, is released next month.
