Up and coming Cork artist Emmo has released his new single 'Still. We asked him the BIG questions . . .
Speaking about the new song, he says: "The same exhausted tropes are always in love songs - be it new, lost, unrequited love etc. But what about love that is resolute?
"My aim was to credit the actuality of persistent and unfaltering love between couples who have been together for a long time despite the odds.
"Funnily enough, the song started as a slow-moving piece but became this anthem-like ballad after my guitar was knocked into a strange tuning from being loose in the back of my car. After some experimenting, the lyrics sprang to life with the new energetic sound from the accidental tuning."
Tell us three things about yourself?
I'm from a family of six, have a black Labrador named Olly and I’m colour blind.
How would you describe your music?
Musical equivalent of buttery toast - wholesome and salty.

Joni Mitchell, Hozier, Peter Gabriel, Rachel K Collier, Sam Fender, Dermot Kennedy,
What was the first gig you ever went to and the first record you ever bought/downloaded?
First gig was a Westlife concert when I was sevenish, just remember being blinded by the all mighty whiteness of their clothes. First Record was Curtain Call by Eminem, I secretly bought it and it ruined gerbils for me.
What’s your favourite song right now?
Gasoline - The Weeknd.
Favourite lyric of all time?
"Remember me love, when I'm reborn, as the shrike to your sharp and glorious thorn'' - Hozier or else "I wanna really, really, really wanna zigazig ah" - Spice Girls, just hits different, yano.
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life what would it be?
