EastEnders star Clair Norris will reprise her role as Bernie Taylor at the end of the month as the BBC soap cranks up the surrogacy drama involving the character.
Bernie agreed last year to carry a baby for Rainie (Tanya Franks) and Stuart Highway (Ricky Champ).
Releasing photos of Bernie's return, the BBC said: "A very heavily pregnant Bernie is back in Albert Square, but things are off to a difficult start as she faces the reality of handing over her baby.
"As Bernie discusses the details with them, she is stunned to learn that Stuart has cancer and rages that they kept it from her.
"Her anger soon turns to shock, however, when she goes into labour."
Fans can find out what happens next on RTÉ One and BBC One on Tuesday, 29 March.
