County Armagh pop singer Odhran Murphy is set to release his debut EP, Make it Happen. We asked him the BIG questions . . .

Growing up in a musical household, Odhran's love for music began as a child and he cites his musical influences as artists such as Passenger, Damien Rice, Dermot Kennedy, Kodaline, Hudson Taylor, Gavin James and Dean Lewis.

Tell us three things about yourself?

I'm fluent in Irish. I once won an Ulster final in Boxing. I’m studying music and audio production at college.

How would you describe your music?

My new music is quite uplifting and full of energy. It’s got that pop vibe to it that is really trending at the minute in the charts.

Who are your musical inspirations?

My musical inspirations have to be Dermot Kennedy, Dean Lewis and Ed Sheeran.

What was the first gig you ever went to and the first record you ever bought/downloaded?

The first gig I’ve ever been at was Passenger in Vicar Street Dublin, it was amazing!! The first record I bought was a Coldplay album, Parachutes.

What’s your favourite song right now?

Light Switch by Charlie Puth.

Favourite lyric of all time?

"To all my friends, You'll find your way, Some summer night, I hope I see you again" - Dermot Kennedy.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life what would it be?

Fix You by Coldplay.
