La Belle Epoque, 9.00pm, BBC Four

Do yourself a favour and give this crowd pleaser French rom-com a look. It should put a smile on your face.

Daniel Auteuil and Fanny Ardant star, with the former playing a man in a failing marriage discovers a company that create perfect recreations of historical periods.

He employs them to recreate the week when he first met his wife, 40 years previously, in the hope that it will help him reconnect with her in the present.

But instead he finds himself drawn into an affair with the actress playing her.

The Tina Turner Weekend on Sky Arts continues its weekend with a look back at Tina’s final concert at Wembley Stadium in London.

As well as a selection of career-spanning hits she sings rare covers of songs made famous by other artists.

They include Sly & The Family Stone’s I Want To Take You Higher, Otis Redding’s Sittin’ On The Dock Of The Bay and I Heard It Through The Grapevine, the Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong song made famous by Marvin Gaye.

The Tommy Tiernan Show, 9.50pm, RTÉ One

Another Saturday night’s chat in the very capable hands of Tommy Tiernan.

No one bar the crew behind the show know in advance who’s going to guest. It makes the show a hard one to preview, other than pointing out that Tommy has this hosting business down pat.

Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, 7.00pm, Virgin Media One

Still the ultimate Saturday evening entertainment show.

This week, Paloma Faith is in the Star Guest announcer booth, and Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood is the latest victim of I'm a Celebrity… Get Out of Me Ear.

Plus, Singalong Live is back, and the End of the Show Show goes international.

Mariah Carey at the BBC, 10.35pm, BBC Two

Here’s a selection of archive appearances on the BBC by the American singer-songwriter known for her five-octave range and a certain Christmas song.

The clips include performances of songs such as Vision of Love, Honey, Shake it Off, Open Arms, Hero and We Belong Together.

Later Presents - The Beautiful South in Concert, 11.35pm, BBC Two

Here’s a proper treat for fans of Paul Heaton, ahead of his much-postponed trip to Ireland with Jacqui Abbott, now re-scheduled to one big outdoor gig in Dublin’s Saint Anne’s Park in June.

Jools Holland introduces a 1997 performance by The Beautiful South, who are joined by guests Sam Moore, James Dean Bradfield, the London Gospel Community Choir, Black Dyke Mills Band and Iris DeMent.

Songs include You Keep It All In, Don't Marry Her, Old Red Eyes Is Back, Rotterdam, Good As Gold and Lean On Me.

If you missed this on RTÉ One during the week, here’s the season four opener of the patchy but occasionally brilliant dramedy.

In the final run of the show, starring Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer, Villanelle has embraced a new way of life in an attempt to prove she is not a monster, while Eve is on a revenge mission.

Having killed Paul, Carolyn goes to extraordinary lengths to continue to chase down the Twelve and the person that ordered Kenny's hit.

Reboot of the much-loved 1980s’ comedy franchise, starring Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and Chris Hemsworth.

When a series of supernatural disturbances occurs in New York City, two experts in the paranormal investigate.

They’re joined by a brilliant inventor who has created an array of ghost-hunting gadgets and a public transport worker whose knowledge of the city provides vital clues to the sinister cause of the ghostly activity.

Superb Irish dramedy, starring Mark O'Halloran, Tom Murphy, Gary Egan and Dylan Grimes.

It’s the story of two childhood friends living in Dublin who have grown up to become heroin addicts.

During the course of a day, they wander the city, hoping to beg, borrow or steal enough cash to feed their habit - but their efforts only lead them into a series of bizarre misadventures.

Family Flick

The Croods, 6.35pm, RTÉ One

Animated comedy, with the voices of Nicolas Cage and Ryan Reynolds.

Prehistoric family the Croods find themselves with nowhere to live when their cave is destroyed.

They embark on a dangerous trek through an unstable landscape overrun with all manner of dangerous predators in search of a new home, but their domestic squabbles prove as much of an obstacle as the wildlife.
