Dubliner Richard Flood, who plays Dr Cormac Hayes on the long-running medical drama Grey's Anatomy, has confirmed on social media that he is leaving the show.
The Red Rock actor, who made his first appearance in the episode Let's All Go to the Bar, has been part of the show for three years.
The TV star posted a picture from the set to his Instagram page and wrote: "Set up before my last shot!
"Thanks to everybody involved over the last 3 years but especially to all the fans whose response to Hayes exit over the last 2 weeks has been overwhelming!"
