It has been announced that the rescheduled Grammy Awards will take place in Las Vegas on Sunday 3 April.

The music industry's biggest night had been due to take place in Los Angeles at the end of this month but was postponed due to the Omicron surge in the US.

Broadcaster Trevor Noah will be back to host the rescheduled ceremony at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Jazz musician Jon Batiste leads the nominations for the 2022 Grammy Awards with 11 nods, followed by Justin Bieber, Doja Cat, and H.E.R with eight apiece.

In a statement on 5 January, Grammys organiser the Recording Academy and broadcaster CBS had said: "After careful consideration and analysis with city and state officials, health and safety experts, the artist community and our many partners, the Recording Academy and CBS have postponed the 64th Annual Grammy Awards show.

"The health and safety of those in our music community, the live audience, and the hundreds of people who work tirelessly to produce our show remains our top priority. Given the uncertainty surrounding the Omicron variant, holding the show on January 31 simply contains too many risks."
