Beavis and Butthead, the duo of teenage slackers who became nineties anti-icons, are set to return as adults in a new movie later this year.
Created by Mike Judge, the obnoxious, heavy metal obsessed teens debuted on MTV in 1993 and spent their days camped on a couch, passing lewd comments on pop videos. They first appeared in their own movie with 1996's Beavis and Butt-Head Do America.

Now, Judge, who voiced both characters and also produced King of the Hill and the movie Office Space, has confirmed that the unlovely pair will return as adults in a new movie for Paramount+ later this year.
Judge posted sketches on how the teenage tearaways look as grown-ups, commenting, "they need some time to get back in shape."
In the summer of 2020, MTV Entertainment Group president, Chris McCarthy, announced a new Beavis and Butt-Head movie for Paramount+ was on the way and called the pair, "a defining voice of a generation."
He added that the two pals will "navigate the treacherous waters of a world light-years from their own."
The original series ran for seven seasons and 200 episodes.
