Here are just some of the great shows on the box today . . .
Mrs Brown's Boys Christmas Special, 9.35pm, RTÉ One/10.20pm, BBC One
Brendan O’Carroll and the gang are back for their annual festive special.
As Christmas rolls around once more in Finglas, Agnes is recruited to the church choir, but is under strict instructions from Father McBride that there is to be no singing - and certainly no dancing.
Meanwhile, Dermot and Buster organise this year's festivities at Foleys - a murder mystery night in aid of alcoholic greyhounds - and a Christmas tree shortage means Agnes may have to go without one this year.
Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special, 5.10pm, BBC One
Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman host a special festive edition of the celebrity floor-fillers' show.
This time, Jay Blades, Fred Sirieix, Mel Giedroyc, Moira Stuart, Anne-Marie and Adrian Chiles take to the floor to impress judges Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke (above).
The contestants will also be taking part in a group routine alongside the professional dancers, and there will be musical performances from guests Jamie Cullum and Gary Barlow.
Peter O'Toole - Réalta & Rógaire, 9.25pm, TG4
Here's a real Christmas treat, an intimate documentary that's told by those who knew the legendary actor Peter O’Toole best - his friends, family and fans.
The Leeds-born Irish star was nominated for an Academy Award no less than eight times and yet never won, before finally receiving an honorary Oscar in 2003.
He was hailed as one of the greatest Shakespearian actors of his time and off-stage he was renowned for his drinking and hell raising escapades.
As an aside, I’d recommend Lawrence of Arabia and My Favorite Year as two must-see Peter O’Toole films. There’s loads more.
Call the Midwife, 8.00pm, BBC One
If you caught The Morecambe and Wise Christmas Show 1971 (7.00pm, BBC Two), chances are you won’t miss this much-loved period drama.
The story is now up to the Christmas of 1966, and it promises to be a memorable one at Nonnatus House as Lucille and Cyril prepare for their upcoming winter wedding.
The midwives are faced with their busiest Christmas Day ever as the Maternity Home is filled with expectant mums to be, each with their own challenging case.
Luckily, Mother Mildred is on hand to support them.
The Great Christmas Bake Off 2021, 8.00pm, Channel 4
Paul Hollywood, Prue Leith, Matt Lucas and Noel Fielding invite the stars from Channel 4's award-winning hit drama It's a Sin (below) to join them in the famous white tent to celebrate Christmas.
Olly Alexander, Nathaniel Curtis, Lydia West and Shaun Dooley compete for the coveted Christmas Star Baker title, before the London Community Gospel Choir perform their version of Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas For You.
Film Tips: Mary Poppins Returns (3.10pm, BBC One), Their Finest (9.35pm, BBC Four), Pavarotti (9.35pm, BBC Two), Angela’s Christmas Wish (7.25pm, RTÉ One), Bohemian Rhapsody, 10.10pm, RTÉ One)
