Gun horror in St Stephen's Day Fair City

The residents of Carrigstown are caught up in a horrifying gun ordeal in the St Stephen's Day Fair City on RTÉ One.

With Lucy arrested for the murder of drugs boss Ritchie Lennon, Dolores and co are trying to pick up the pieces.

"I keep thinking of all the times she could've got help and we turned our back," Dolores laments.

"You were kind to her," says Sharon.

"And look where it got you," adds Anto.

Over in the Station, Carol tells Tommy they have another problem - Lennon's watch.

"Lucy left it hanging off me Christmas tree," says Carol.

"Why?" asks Tommy.

"Am I a psychiatrist?!" Carol replies. "The point is we need to get rid of it!"

But the drama doesn't end there.

Later, Lucy's just-released accomplice Tyler appears in the Station - and confronts Dolores.

"I thought about killing you," he tells her. "But I'm not going to do that."

"I've had enough of this," says Pete as he readies himself to deal with Tyler.

But as Pete gets to his feet, Tyler says: "Instead, I'm going to teach you about loss!"

With that, he pulls out a handgun, pointing it at Pete and Dean.
