Belle and Kyle are in real danger when they become stranded alone in the forest overnight in scenes set to air on Emmerdale next week.
Coming up on the ITV soap, Ellis invites Belle on an excursion with Kyle leaving her hopeful they are moving in the right direction.
In the forest, Belle and Ellis are about to kiss when Ellis' phone buzzes and he rushes off to help Priya. He Belle and Kyle, who has a twisted ankle, alone. When Belle realises she gave her car keys to Ellis, she has to smash her car window in an attempt to warm freezing Kyle.
Actress Eden Taylor-Draper, who has played Belle Dingle since 2005, said Belle starts out the day hopeful for her blossoming romance with Ellis.
She said: "I think Belle really likes Ellis and has always had a soft spot for him since they were together years ago. Belle feels he is finally moving on from Priya and they really could go somewhere."
Her feelings of jealousy towards Priya quickly fade into the background when she realises she and Kyle are facing a night outside in the cold.
"She tries to call Ellis and Cain but as she's calling Cain her phone dies. She realises the temperature is freezing at this point and Kyle can’t walk, they’re about an hour away from the village so have no way to get back and she’s really panicking now," the soap star explained.
"She smashes the car window in an attempt to get Kyle warm but she is losing all hope at this point. She's trying to keep a brave face for Kyle but she knows if they’re left out here all night they’re in big trouble."
Taylor-Draper added that Bella and Kyle are in real danger if they're not rescued in time.
"They're in minus temperatures with no keys, phone or warmth. No one is coming to help them. Belle is very worried," she said.
Emmerdale airs on Virgin Media One and ITV on Monday to Friday.
