In what has become something of a Christmas tradition, former US president Barack Obama has revealed his favourite music of the year.
I've always enjoyed listening to a wide variety of music, so it's no surprise that I listened to a little bit of everything this year. I hope you find a new artist or song to add to your own playlist. pic.twitter.com/g6kBzAbrZG

The War On Drugs, Little Simz and Mitski are among the acts featured on the presidential playlist, which follows Obama's personal picks of the movies and books of 2021.
"I’ve always enjoyed listening to a wide variety of music, so it’s no surprise that I listened to a little bit of everything this year," he said in a tweet of his selections. "I hope you find a new artist or song to add to your own playlist."
Mitski’s recent comeback song The Only Heartbreaker, which appears on her forthcoming new album Laurel Hell, is high up on the list, alongside The War On Drugs’ I Don’t Live Here Anymore, the title track from their recent album.
Little Simz’ Woman and Brandie Carlile's Broken Horses also feature on the list with Lizzo and Cardi B (Rumors), Walking At A Downtown Pace by Parquet Courts and Boomerang by Yebba.
