This St Vincent de Paul Annual Appeal Special features the likes of Colin Farrell, Andrea Corr, Brendan O'Carroll, Jenny Gibney, Ronnie Wood, Majella O'Donnell and more.

The star-studded show will highlight the remarkable work of the St Vincent de Paul Annual Appeal as the charity prepares to help thousands of families across Ireland to have a brighter Christmas.

For example, writer, producer, actor and comedian Brendan O'Carroll (above) will be joined on the sofa by his wife, business partner and co-star Jenny Gibney.

They’ll talk to Ryan Tubridy about their special connection to the charity, as well as their plans for a proper family Christmas this yerar at home in Ireland.

Here’s another chance too see this excellent documentary celebrating the 40th anniversary of the blockbuster dance movie.

Bruno Tonioli, a young dancer in New York in 1977, revisits the streets where the film was shot and looks back at the success of a production that made disco fever the pandemic of its day.

Tonioli and contributors including its star John Travolta, recount how a small-budget film and a quickly assembled soundtrack became a mega-hit that changed popular culture for ever.

The programme also hears about the potent influence of impresario Robert Stigwood, whose faith in the young Travolta and then-stuttering pop group the Bee Gees proved inspirational.

The champion faces four new challengers all performing to try and win the audience vote and take home that prize.

Maya Jama hosts the musical game show in which acts compete for a prize pot of £500,000, with Gary Barlow, Alesha Dixon, Dawn French and Craig David judging.
