This is a two-part documentary charting the global success of what was once considered incredibly uncool: Irish dancing.

This opening episode tells the story of how it evolved from a traditional peasant dance on the Emerald Isle, long before it became nothing less than an inter-continental cultural phenomenon.

Last week’s opening episodes were much better than I anticipated. Pity about Big, though.
The hour-long format (the original Sex and the City was a standard sitcom length of 30 minutes) also works.
In the opening episodes Miranda didn’t come covered in gravy. Instead, she was trying too hard to fit in with current conventions.
Tonight we’ll see another side of her though, as she tells Charlotte about her non-existant sex life with hubby Steve. Meanwhile, Carrie wonders why Big leaves an ex a pile of cash in his will.

Biodiversity in Dublin's Phoenix Park is crucial and visitors' centre worker Leif Barry keeps an active eye on seasonal changes affecting it.
That sees him making daily walks to track the flora and fauna around Ashtown Castle.
Meanwhile, nearby Bohemian FC was founded in the park in 1890 and club historian Gerry Farrell gets to enter the hallowed lodge in which his beloved team was born.
