The final two celebrities have been revealed for Dancing with the Stars - Love Island's Matthew MacNabb and Rugby Union star Jordan Conroy complete the lineup for the class of 2022.

Fresh from his stint in the Love Island villa, Co Down native Matthew McNabb told Jennifer Zamparelli on RTÉ 2fm on Tuesday that he was looking for a new challenge in 2022.

Matthew McNabb is swapping his swimming trunks for sequin shirts!

He said: "I'm really excited to join the show, I love an adventure and when the opportunity to learn to dance came along it seemed like a great challenge to start off the New Year.

"I've always wanted to learn to dance, so why not do it on live television?"

Sports star Jordan Conroy is eager to swap his rugby boots for some shiny shoes. He told Zamparelli that while he loves a "good boogie", he is definitely "in it, to win it!"

Will Jordan Conroy be as hot-footed as his is on the ruby pitch?

"I'm really excited to put my dancing skills to the test and looking forward to swapping out rugby boots for the shiny dancing shoes!

"It will definitely be a change of scenery, I can't wait to have fun with it and learn different dances - I do love a good boogie. I have to say there's a winning mentality and I'm in to win!"

McNabb and Conroy join previously announced contestants Cathy Kelly, Neil Delamere, Ellen Keane, Aengus Mac Grianna, Gráinne Seoige, Nicolas Roche, Erica Cody, Missy Keating, Billy McGuinness and Nina Carberry.

Presenters Zamparelli and Nicky Byrne will be back at the helm of the series, while judges Loraine Barry and Brian Redmond will also return. They will be joined by a new judging panel member - the dancer and acclaimed choreographer Arthur Gourounlian.

Dancing with the Stars returns to RTÉ One and RTÉ Player this January.
